PreSchool Academy

The Preschool Dance Company performs in major shows, competitions and recitals.  The Preschoolers do not do baby steps or creative movement, they learn the same technique as the teens in our performing arts center.  They learn multiple dance techniques in addition to the traditional styles listed below.

BALLET - an artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Classical ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy and established its present form during the 19th century, is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements

TAP - a dance performed wearing shoes fitted with metal taps, characterized by rhythmical tapping of the toes and heels.

​

LYRICAL - is a dance style that blends elements of ballet and jazz dance.
