Technique
Technique is the most important aspect of each class. We believe any age can learn any style of technical dance. Our Modern techniques are Lester Horton and Martha Graham.
Tayoartology
Advance method of teaching for all ages, builds confidence, increases flexibility, produces muscular strength, develops faith and advance learning in academics.
Tayoacro
Using the body alignment to stretch beyond abilities similar to acrobatics, tumbling and gymnastics.
Flexparlift
Using the body to stretch and to form shapes beyond abilities in height, length, connecting with other dancers.
African dance
dancers often are able to isolate particular parts of their body and move them to different parts of the rhythm, with two or three different beats going on simultaneously in the dancer's body. This fine motor control is often complemented by larger movements such as kicks, leaps, and wide and rapid swings of the arms.
Russian Ballet
Aspects of ballet technique include alignment, which refers to keeping the head, shoulders, and hips vertically aligned. Turn out refers to completing movements with legs rotated outward; this promotes clean footwork, graceful port de bras (movement of the arms), and correct body positions, lines and angles. Other aspects of ballet technique include posture, toe pointing, keeping shoulders down, and pulling up, which combines proper posture and lifting of the muscles to increase turnout and enhance alignment and thus improve the quality of turns.
Traditional Jazz
feet and knees are typically turned in opposite of Ballet, consisting of leaps, turns, layouts, and quick fast dance steps.
rhythum Tap
is a tap dance style created by dancers who produce intricate, rhythmic patterns and phrasing with their feet. In performance, the rhythm tapdancer becomes a percussive musical artist and instrument.
Hip Hop
refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of Hip hop culture
Horton Modern
a form of contemporary theatrical and concert dance employing a special technique for developing theuse of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas.
